Ryder is an experienced team of shopfitters with 20 years’ experience in creating retail or office fitouts for sites of any size and complexity.

We can complete full refurbishments for multistorey retail, government and leisure complexes. We’ve also delivered on highly specialised fields, such as hospitality fitouts requiring wall-to-wall stainless steel fixtures, or retail spaces with sophisticated security systems.

For our many pharmacy, newsagent and office clients, we offer three specialist divisions – Chemfit, Newsfit and Your Space – with the know-how to maximise your floor and shelf space.

Ours is a polished level of service you simply can’t achieve offshore, or obtain in a flat-packed box.

Design and Planning

We understand the science of creating spaces that optimise your building envelope. Our designs are created in CAD for user-friendliness, visual appeal and compatibility with your building’s practical functions.

After the initial brief, you’ll receive fully rendered three-dimensional layout drawings of your office, building or store fitout, providing a virtual walk-through of the proposed outcome. You’ll also see highly accurate cost projections, thanks to a computerised estimating system that minimises waste and maximises use of materials.

Your project manager will take charge of formalities such as Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) certification schemes for building and products. We prepare and submit council Development Applications (DA) and Construction Certificates (CC) through regulatory bodies, and arrange for Final Inspection and Occupation Certificates.

Manufacturing

The team at Ryder’s Kings Park, Sydney workshop designs and builds impeccably crafted display units, shelves, counters, display gondolas, slatwall and other customised joinery for projects of any size. See our FAQs for more details on what we can do.

Ryder’s workshop foremen first use software to produce three-dimensional drawings that let you see different views of the specified items before we build them.

Our specialised modern machinery, including a point-to-point (CNC) machine, then builds a variety of works boasting high standards of accuracy and quality. We can create a range of finishes, from powder spray to polyurethane coatings, and store works on site until they are ready to ship out for installation by our dedicated crew.

Project management

A core part of Ryder’s service delivery model is our system of assigning an in-house project manager for every client job. This keeps you informed at every step and helps oversee works being led by the site foreman.

Our foreman personally supervises any work done by our network of contractors, and Ryder delivers and installs all manufactured works for your shop or office fitting using our specialty vehicle fleet. We’ll also tick off any final certification requirements initiated at the planning stage.

Installation

With clients based throughout Australia, in regional, metropolitan, complex and standard sites, Ryder can handle any production requirement.

Our teams can work flexible hours, including day or night shifts, in response to varying workforce sizes or deadline needs. Our site foreman supervises works with staff and contract tradespeople daily, and our company-owned trucks allow for timely and safe delivery of all goods.

We have builder’s licences to work in Queensland, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory as well as New South Wales, and our site crew hold security passes for several public infrastructure sites. We have a Workplace Health and Safety Management System, and regularly carry out a job safety analysis.
